QA Automation Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Automation QA right now!

At our company you will….
- Be involved in all phases of developing
- Test code at the user level. both manually and with automated tools
- Write automated tests with scripts and/or user-level automation tools
- Work with Developers and Product owners to understand technical implementation of features
- Help debug problems using log files, and Jira.
Key responsibilities:
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
- Monitor debugging process results
- Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
YOUR experience:
- Proven work experience in software development
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Strong exposure to selenium, cucumber or TestNG
- Experience in setting test frameworks in Linux environment
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
Additional Duties and milestones / goals:
- Commit (push) code to github each day as a part of the development pipeline
- Assess what auto testing scripts needs to be created, and monitor the progress of current ones
- Creation of business critical tests such as (in this order):
- Manual payment tests
- Recurring payment tests
- Sign up and sign up funnel tests
- Login and authentication tests
- Chat delay and other chat related tests
- These features should have fully working auto testing on brand at all times: Victoria Milan
- Near-future goals include covering every revenue generating feature with auto tests.
- Assess all current auto test scripts
- Create auto tests according to pre-set test cases for all brands on the revenue generating features for at least 1 browser by the 1st of September
- Create auto tests on all applications
- Create auto tests for core features on all popular browsers (included in the test cases document provided) by the 1st of November
- Create auto tests for the rest of the features (winks, favorites, private keys etc)
